1 Welcome!

Welcome to our book of magical secrets.

This is the lab manual for the Markovich Lab at the University of New Mexico Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences.
The focus of our work centers around developing and improving decision support modeling methods and workflows to support effective and efficient groundwater management. More about our group’s research activity can be found on our website.

This lab manual resource is intended to provide an overview for lab members and others about how we do our work, and our expectations for our team. It is also a space to document institutional knowledge and for important information about procedures and available resources. If you have suggestions for additions or changes, please contact Katie (kmarkovich@unm.edu) or make a pull request.

The content for this book was borrowed from the Fay Lab Manual, which was developed as part of their group’s participation in the Openscapes Champions program. We are extremely grateful to and acknowledge Dr. Gavin Fays’ role in helping shaping the policies, procedures, and identity of our lab. 🙏 🙌
