Pre-congress short course: Advanced Groundwater Modeling Techniques with MODFLOW 6 and PEST++

A two-day hands-on course running September 12–13, 2026 at the ELTE Lágymányos Campus, co-taught with Joseph Hughes, Mike Fienen, Rui Hugman, and Jeremy White.

  • Day 1 covers the latest functionality in MODFLOW 6 and PEST++, with FloPy and pyEMU scripting exercises
  • Day 2 moves into uncertainty analysis, ensemble methods, management optimization, and emulation techniques
